Chandigarh: Vaisakhi Utsav-2026 Celebrates Punjab’s Agrarian Soul in Colourful Spectacle at Kalagram.
The North Zone Cultural Centre hosted a vibrant two-day "Vaisakhi Utsav-2026" at Kalagram, featuring traditional folk performances like Bhangra and Gatka to celebrate Punjab's agrarian heritage and the founding of the Khalsa Panth.
Last year at Gilbertsville: The Binghamton Morris Men perform "John Peel" outside the Major's Inn.

20:00 A few simple and a few trickier contra dances, we walk you through everything
21:30 End with a waltz, until next time!
We end all sets with a slow waltz - you may dance alone, as a couple or with a group - as you like!
Admission is free of charge, but we ask you to kindly donate to the band for their hard work and to cover the cost of the venue! Every contribution helps!

🕵️old klezmers🎻Some of these tunes are pretty cool and never really made it into the common repertoire in the klezmer revival, not even in the most niche jam sessions as far as I know. The band Budowitz did perform a bunch of them on their Wedding Without a Bride (2000) CD years back, this is the one I could find on youtube.
