I have spent most of my life in Japan and Pennsylvania. Although I lived in San Diego, which is near the desert, for several years, I never really thought of the desert as a place for trout fishing, but now I know there are places like this where you can fish for trout surrounded by saguaro cacti 😉
Looks like I need to plan another visit 🤔

There were a lot of trout, a lot. I didn’t know where or when they stock, I just happened to be there right after🤔

Some people were doing tenkara. The area was wide open overhead and behind, perfect for tenkara, although I used a regular fly rod 😊

All the local creeks are in dangerous condition, and it will take at least a couple of days for the water levels to drop to safe conditions, so there will basically be no fishing this weekend 🤔
