But here's the Hippopotamus Song, from Flanders and Swann.
This one goes out to Ned, the left-hand thread garden snail in search of love in New Zealand.
Flanders and Swann, Misalliance.
@treleanor @damonism of course, the ultimate tribute song to buses has to be the Flanders and Swann classic, "A Transport of Delight".
In these… times… we need more happy chorus songs.

Spotify's search neatly did job with #NathanLoggins album "God Found in Everything" - including "The Weak and Strong Nuclear Force".
Loggins describes it combining "progressive rock, fusion and new age". Despite reminiscent title, very different from Flanders & Swann's thermodynamic "First and Second Law" ("Heat won't pass from a cooler to a hotter / You can try it if you like but you far better not-er! ... @Nickiquote @stavvers It's not irrelephant. It's a hippopotamus.
Watching a video of Flanders and Swann. Not brilliant quality (the piano sounds a bit off-key sometimes) but good enough.
I used to watch them on TV when I was young, and some of their songs are still heard today, eg the Hippopotamus song.
Any many of the messages still ring true, unfortunately.
But I never knew that Donald Swann wrote a song that included Elvish from Lord of the Rings.

Musical Interlude: On the railroad theme, here's a solemn song from comedy duo Flanders & Swann, mourning the threatened closing of many smaller rail stations in the UK. Thankfully many stayed open, but a lot of service was cut, and a way of life vanished.
We need more passenger rail service in the US!
"The Slow Train," performed by Flanders & Swann.
