Hungary confirmed that it deliberately blocked a 500 million euro tranche to Ukraine, — Reuters.
"Hungary does not agree with the fact that the European Union, together with other existing instruments, uses the European Peace Fund exclusively to support Ukraine, as this does not allow sufficient funds to be directed to the promotion of the EU's interests in other areas," the message reads. The Hungarian government announced this.
Budapest demanded guarantees that funds from the EPF would not be spent only on purchasing weapons for Ukraine.
This aid package was supposed to be allocated on May 22.
