How to summon a Fire Emblem Conquest fan:
Talk critically about Fates not as 3 individual entries but as a whole and they will come and demand otherwise.
I know because I'd be the first to arrive.

Happy 10th Anniversary to Fire Emblem Fates (2 days late) was released to Nintendo 3DS in North America!
Really loved this game that has both sides (Nohr and Hoshido), some scenes have emotional parts at end of the chapter, & great character units!
and New Mystery (FE12) which is here in A tier because even though it’s already a remake it’s Japanese only and also… I’ll explain later… B) is lead by Fates and here me out here with the E Shop down imagine an $80 Switch 2 remake of Fates containing all 3 routes + DLC… IMO that’s a pretty good deal and out of all the English FES this is the one I would probably be the most likely to buy (not counting an FE6+7 game) and as you saw from my games tier list… I’m not a fates fan…
In anticipation for Fortune’s Weave I decided to make tier lists ranking my own personal enjoyment of the games and also how much I both want and expect a remake of all the FE games so first my ranking:
Only real caveat is it’s been a while since I fully played Conquest or PoR so I’m a bit more fuzzier on those games (though I AM replaying PoR now… and also I highly doubt Conquest is ever beating a non fates game)

Making the final boss be an archer is still amazing in every way.
Funny yet still one of the most threatening Fire Emblem (final) bosses in terms of gameplay.
Ike's part 3 chapters in Radiant Dawn feels kinda like Birthright especially in terms of difficulty.
I was struggling to decipher my old spreadsheets (yes, I made two for my Conquest planning lol), but then I remembered I made threads about my plans.
And reading them back, there are a lot of interesting ideas for Conquest replays in there. Collecting skills of a certain type (like all the weaponbreaker skills) on one unit, championing a weak unit to ORKO the final boss, or making fun builds like priestess Nina.
It's kinda fun reading my thoughts from before, hehe.

Another idea is to use the strictest rule (everyone should be a maid ASAP), but also deploy the guys. They can't be maids so they are free to reclass and pick up skills, then pass it down to the second gen units.
So even if the second gen units have to immediately become maids, they would at least have an extra skill to work with. While the first gen remain kinda cooked.
But then now I'm deploying the guys and not just maids, which is also ehhhhhhh. But technically, turning the daughters into maids would be required for an all maids challenge, so I'll need to deploy at least some of the guys.
But a single inherited skill is probably not going to be enough to make a super unit, if the child units are going to be immediately reclassed.
The all maids challenge would probably require thinking about the rules a bit. The most straightforward approach is to promote and reclass units into maid ASAP, but that will leave me with a really weak army that probably won't clear the game.
But if I let myself freely reclass and only change everyone to maid at endgame, that also doesn't really feel like I'm working with an army of maids. They're just playing dressup for endgame.
Hmm... Maybe a chapter limit? Like once I reach Hoshido (chapter 22 I think?), my entire army must be maids only. Or maybe a level limit, like by promoted lv 7 or something.
Another way is that I can freely reclass them pre-promotion, but after promotion, they must be a maid. But this doesn't give too many useful options...
