💨 “It’s just a little burn pile” has turned into more than one Mat-Su fire call already this season.
What can you legally burn? What gets people reported? Why are fire officials so strict about it right now? And why does Alaska’s wildfire reality matter more than people think?

The wind will get stronger on a very warm Wednesday, and the wind on Thursday will be even stronger! High fire danger ahead, and our highs will be on a wild ride. Prepare for the wind now, Montana and Wyoming!

A bright, mild morning led to a warm March afternoon in Montana & Wyoming, but it won't last. Record warmth, wind & fire danger on Wednesday, then light rain & snow overnight and a 20°-35° drop on Thursday!

It's not good when my pink tie is matched by the pink color of Red Flag Warnings in Montana and Wyoming on March 24th. Much windier and warmer weather on Wednesday, followed by a cooler mix of rain and snow!

#Heatwave has #eased across #Victoria with most areas expecting temperature in the 20s & a sprinkling of low-30s.

There are NO districts rated as at #catastrophic or #extreme #firedanger.

Still 3 #emergency-level fires -2 in central Victoria in #Longwood & #Ravenswood
South, & 1 in #Walwa.

A fire in the Alpine National Park has been downgraded to a Watch & Act after the fire spread slowed overnight.

There are 4 blazes at Watch and Act level in the west & south-west. #VicFires #StaySafe

Got up 5.30am, watered the garden, fed the birds, filled three bird baths with water, done two loads of washing (will dry in 10 minutes today, what with the hot wind)s, done some fresh food shopping, loaded up on water, pulled down all the blinds and am now exhausted.

It's 9.30am but only 34C so should feel grateful but it was 30 overnight, so already tired when I got up.

Stay cool and hydrated everyone in heat/fire-ravaged SE Australia, especially VIC.
