People started loudly setting off firecrackers here in Hamburg, even at night.
To drown out the noise, I put on music and loudly sang along (before 10 pm).
Singing also helped me against being annoyed because of the unwanted noise.
(Setting off firecrackers is still allowed here, though it has so many disadvantages.)
