Sharing this with the hopes it helps someone else. For 15 years my partner suffered from what we thought might be Raynaud's syndrome or a pinched nerve. Whenever she experienced a large temperature change she would experience debilitating pain in her pinky and ring finger. We had been bounced from one expert to another for reflex tests, nerve examination, even neurological scans. Nothing came of it until she had a chat with a dermotologist who suggested it might be a Glomus tumour (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glomus_tumor) under her nail. The dermatologist whipped out their phone, turned on the torchlight and placed my partners finger over the light and we could all clearly see the tumor via it's silhouette. 5 minutes to diagnose, 30 minute minor operation to remove and my partner is now pain free. #raynaudssyndrome #pinchednerve #finger #chronicpain
