Yay, it's Friday, and it's time to learn more about our office! The weirdest dish Jack K. has tried is a Filipino-style fried and baked milkfish cooked with lots of aromatics and often served with a raw egg 🐟

Filipino Food Is in the Heart

I love that there’s an ongoing conversation about Filipino food happening across the country. While writing my cookbook, I gained so much by looking back at our history. It’s exciting to see Filipino American community members cultivating unique spaces to celebrate Filipino cuisine. Bakery owners, restaurateurs, home cooks, and artists are furthering knowledge with interpretations of our food. Where do we go from here? These stories paint a picture of the nuances that exemplify this movement.

Made some Filipino dishes last night: Chicken Tinola and Pancit Bihon. A great way to reconnect to the culture is through food. Glad my wife and kids enjoyed it!

Shout out to my mom for making me Filipino 🇵🇭
