Pretty much every single negative thing that people inaccurately attribute to "capitalism" is actually the fault of #monopoly power, not #capitalism. The real problem is #feudalism, which stems from #ownership of Nature as private #property allowing your employer to exert noncompetitive/anticompetitive power over you. If employers had to compete for your business, because you had the realistic option of working for yourself, your work environment would be far different. #DivideAndConquer

indeed. #Magic is #paternalist at best and often outright #authoritarian. It has a fundamental imbalance between the magician and the audience/subjects.
But magic gave way to science during the enlightenment. The subjects emancipated. Some. #Feudalism turned into civil societies. We don't need to fall behind that. We wouldn't have to repeat that history.
So goodbye platforms, hello networks. Of independant, cooperating peers. Or is it indiependant? Whatever. You get it: the #fediverse.
And front and foremost: keep it simple and friendly.
