Alissa is apparently pursuing a solo career now and has release a new single right after they announced the split - and I quite like it! 🤘 🤘 🤘
I'm on a "Nightwish from the Tarja era" bend and listening to the "Century Child" album, I must say it sounds like she tried to sound less like a classical soprano and in my ears, it sounds a bit like a mistake. Like they made her smaller.
The songwriting is still a step up from "Oceanborn" (which was already great), but that "don't sound like a lyrical soprano" thing ... I don't know.
