We had our first (small) snowfall last night, so I when I looked out of the window and saw a few chickadees looking hopeful in the area we hang our birdfeeder I thought I'd relent and put some seeds out.

There were a couple of chickadees in a tree quite close when I went outside, so I put some seeds on my hand and held it out to them. After a couple of 'fly-bys' 2 of them landed on my hand and took a seed!
