Is there anyone out there with a passion for surveying and making lists of themed fediverse services? Our list is showing it's age, and could really use a dedicated curator to keep it up-to-date, with support from our team;

https://fediverse.party/en/portal/servers/

We aim to list smaller services open to new members, with either a geographical or topic focus. The criteria we use for the services we list can be found here;

Themed servers - Fediverse.Party - explore federated networks

Let's make social media free, federated and fun! Fediverse.Party is your guide into the world of decentralized, autonomous networks running on free open software on a myriad of servers across the world. No ads and no algorithms. Join Fediverse and become part of the new interconnected Web!

2 more giant leaps for geek, 2 more small steps for fediverse.party. Tonight, I closed a merge request that had been superseded, and merged another one. The feeling of raw power I get when I hit the button to merge, and see the changes hit the site, makes me feel like a wizard! Or maybe a sourcerer ; )

The change I merged tonight reflects @gotosocial's moving their app development from GritGub to CodeBerg. If they can ...

... so can you!

2 giants leaps for this geek, 2 small steps forward for fediverse.party;

I finishing merging apps from @hazelnoot's list into the main AP server watchlist, complete with links. Still a lot to do there, but that's 1 more milestone passed.

More exciting, I finally managed to make another change to the site! The second one I've successful done since becoming Lead Goose. I removed Guppe and immers.space, which were abandoned by the maintainers, with no successors for now.

Carved about some time for fediverse.party work tonight. To get started, I commented on some PRs and issue discussions, to make sure both ongoing and drive-by contributors understand the current state of play.

As I said in my last post asking Ben about Emissary's MondoDB dependency, I've started rebuilding the AP server software watchlist on our wiki;

https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fediparty/wiki/ActivityPub-server-watchlist

... in preparation for a series of updates to bring the site itself up-to-date.

There have been many experiments with adding simple ActivityPub support to static blogs, enabling authors to publish their blog into the fediverse to be followed and get commented on. Some of these experimenters have documented what they did, and I've started a list of examples here;

https://codeberg.org/fediverse/fediparty/wiki/Fediverse-comments-on-static-blogs

I chucked this together in a hurry, so please prod me about any mistakes, or any additions that could be made to the list.

Fediverse comments on static blogs

Fediverse.party is looking for a social blogging platform to highlight. I just posted some musing on possible selection criteria and the pros and cons of various candidates;

Feedback welcome. Here or there, but if you want your comments to be part of the permanent record of our deliberations on this, better to comment on the issue itself (when @forgefed is ready for primetime you won't have to choose).

No federated blogging app included on the front page

Discussion on this issue segued away from the original discussion about federated web forums: Great to finally see Funkwhale appear on the front page site. Are any of the Reddit-a-likes successfully federating over AP and mature enough to add there too? The layout looks better with an even numbe...

Kia ora fedizens, a few months ago I was shoulder-tapped to take on stewardship of fediverse.party. One of a bunch of websites that aim to gather lots of useful info about the fediverse in one place. This is a project I've been a casual contributor to for years, and I really want to see it maintained. So I said yes.

... I was recently handed the reigns of fediverse.party. The founding goal of the site is to provide a playful, informative one-stop-shop guide to the fediverse. I intend to do a through update of the current site early next year, then start working on a more ambitious upgrade.

- появился мой отдельный проект
@[email protected] (Тут можно получить поддержку от меня, а ещё я буду делиться с вами материалами.)
- добавили облако
- с перебоями работают игры от Misskey's
- отключил регистрацию по приглашению
- создал задачу на добавления сервера в Fediverse.Party

You've read the threads, but IIRR it was a stopgap, put in place when Feneas collapsed and the party had to move with relatively short notice. We've all been too busy to come up with a more permanent solution, but we're open to offers!
