Check the actual research, please. There's a long string of articles and it's not clear what the (Indian!) newspaper is reacting to. (Maybe there's someone in #fediscience who knows this field?) Chinese biologists and agronomists been working on this and it kind of works a bit. Interesting, but not a game changer. China has large areas of loess in the west and they've been experimenting for decades with different ways to stabilise it and make it productive. (Like dams on rivers, etc - instrumental approach to landscape) Oh, and not turn into dust storms that shut down Beijing.

❗Update on Plagiarism and Falsification in Scientific Publications

Today, I officially submitted requests for the retraction of articles to the editorial boards of the journals "Land Reclamation and Water Management" and "Bulletin of NUWM".

❗Key facts of misconduct:
🔹 Plagiarism: Unauthorized use of my original relief map (2015) without citation.
🔹 Falsification: Intentional removal (retouching) of the author’s stamp with coordinates and date-time on site photographs.
🔹 Duplication: Publication of identical material in 2021 and 2024.

Next steps:
In the event of attempts to covertly remove the articles without an official retraction notice, relevant complaints will be forwarded directly to @crossref and the international members of the editorial boards.

Wikipedia Library's ScienceDirect subscription doesn't seem to include Endocrine Practice and I haven't been able to find this article any other way so I would really appreciate if anyone who has access to #ScienceDirect or #Elsevier journals or whatever would include this could see if they can get me a copy of this, because it's actually huge to have a Real Study™ confirming this and I need to see it:

Finally managed to move my account from mastodon.social to the fediscience instance. This process was much more easy and straight forward then the last time I started trying (don't remember when exactly, probably a few years?).

Apparently a few followers were lost along the way, that's probably due to the approval feature?
