it amuses me, quite a lot, how comparatively often it happens when some peep requests to Follow me, so i check out their profile & posting history, & if i thus form a view they might not be entirely monstrous 🫢️ i approve them. then, some days go by, & i sometimes see some of said peeps in various timelines... i then notice they've hitherto stopped Following me. what goes thru the minds of these peeps? don't they check out my profile & posts prior to requesting the Follow, to avoid nasty surprises later? how can they just go in blind, & only afterwards then realise just wot a mega loony whingeing weirdarse i be? 🤯️🤪️🤷‍♀️️😂️

Finde schon ganz schön frech, Top-10 Hashtags von einem Bot zu holen und diese dann in einen Beitrag zu kopieren, der nur aus einem Spendenaufruf besteht.

Nichts gegen Spendenaufrufe im Fediverse, innerhalb der eigenen Blase finde ich’s legitim, sich zu unterstützen.

Aber dieses Vorgehen empfinde ich als aggressiv und belästigend.

Ganz egal ob Spendenaufruf oder etwas anderes, man nötigt damit den Beitrag in die Timeline von Leuten, die gerade ganz anderen Inhalt sehen wollen 😠

Firstly, apologies for writing this post 😔

We're glad that you are getting or were able to get the gender-affirming surgeries that you need(ed). Everybody should have access to the healthcare that they need.

Nonetheless, please may we kindly ask you to remember to add content warnings to your posts? 🥺

We're not asking you to hide your joy, your excitement, your gender euphoria, your experiences, or anything like that: we're asking you to please remember that many of us cannot get the gender-affirming surgeries that they need and may have no realistic prospects of ever being able to do so 😞

Adding a CW and using standard phrases, just like you would for other topics like politics, gives folks the option of viewing or not viewing your posts.

And no: using a euphemistic way to describe it (e.g., "Taco Tuesday") instead of adding a CW doesn't make it any less potentially-triggering to some of us who know what the euphemism means.

We're SO sorry for asking this.

We've added SO many bleeping filters to try to block everything out, but posts are still finding their way through 😭

We're genuinely SO sorry that we cannot celebrate your happiness and joy right now.

We're genuinely SO sorry that it hurts us to see others getting what they need, when we cannot even get the most basic surgical options.

We're sorry again that we've had to write this post, because we don't want to bring down anybody else's joy.

And we're sorry that we cannot be there for you if you are asking for help in relation to anything related to such matters.
