I'm in for ~120 with them and I have a 4c+ 4gb, 5 8gb, 1 firebeetle? Esp32 and 2 esp32 with 3 mp cameras with timers and wifi. 1 as part of m5 stack with case and battery!

Lol, i know! It's a single board computer that literally fits in tge palm of your hand, but has 2 hdmi ports, micro usb, wifi, bt, ethernet. It's insane. I sat there shocked holding the 4c+ in my hand. I had seen pictures, but it's hard to believe.
You can build a robot, use it for #SelfHosting a #fediverse instance or playing Atari and Nintendo emulators. I'm leaning towards #Friendica or #Calckey for the #groups functionality.
These even smaller #ESP32 #SBC can do a lot, too. I have a #Gemini capsule in mind.

I just got a shipping notification that my FREE $159 Rock 5 8gb #SBC is in transit from the UK!
I found them looking for a #RaspberryPi alternative. I bought the 4c+ to #SelfHost a #Fediverse instance, but I guess I'll use the better one for that and run emulators in the 4c+.

Really, I've just gotten way into nerding out on the #fediverse and it's potential for resistance. The next logical step is #SelfHosting a portable instance in an old Soviet oscilloscope scope case, of course. 😂
But, those concerns should give everyone pause. I'm still not convinced on best alternatives to free #Cloudflare tunnel to protect home ISP.
Still not sold on the name, either.

My goal for this year is to have a portable self-hosted instance (#Fediport) with at least 3 connection (Ethernet, wifi & bluetooth) and charging options (solar, 12v and 110v)

I think that I will build mine out of the Soviet oscilloscope in first post, but it can be a simple metal, acrylic or #3dPrinted box. It doesn't even need a screen because you can use external monitors.
