Viele 🚗 🚚 🚗 treffen sich gerade auf der A3: Nürnberg -> Passau, zwischen 3.0 km hinter Spitzig Berg und 3.6 km vor Kühberg und blockieren die #Autobahn.

Heute protestieren sie vielleicht gegen #Kurzstreckenfahrten. In deutschen Großstädten sind 40-50 % der #Autofahrten kürzer als 5 km. In diesem Entfernungsbereich ist das #Fahrrad das schnellste #Verkehrsmittel. Da bleibt man als #Auto lieber im Bett. (Quelle: #UBA)

The Erie Canal isn't the only bikepacking in the Capital Region. There are ample gravel roads, state forest and state parks to create a fun trip within shouting distance of the state capitol. This photo is taken at the intersection of the fire tower trail at Grafton Lakes State Park where I'd catch a sunset from the cab of the tower.

I think I got a hybrid bike for semi-touristy routes, but not suitable for climbing 'cause it's still very rough on steep streets that even the most experienced cyclists would have a bit of difficulty... meanwhile I found another beautiful orange racing bike made by locals that I would have liked to ride if I were on flat roads... 🚲 🚴‍♂️😀
