[Day 25] I'll Take the Number... https://feddit.online/c/nanowrimo2/p/1394290/day-25-i-ll-take-the-number
Greetings and good evening.
I would like to apologize for ghosting anyone interested in my progress on my musical endeavor. I regret to inform you that I had completely stopped production, meaning there will not be a second release of the VST Test. I'd like to apologize for the inconvenience, as Neigsendoig (who I refer to as Sendo) and I had no interest in doing more HHC for the time being. If anything, after discussing things with him, he'll be doing HHC from now on, and I'll focus on other things.
To make up for that, I'm currently working on an audiobook version of a novel I wrote for the #FediWriMo contest, and I'm already pretty deep into the book. Of course, I'm using Ardour, but I decided to use proprietary VSTs for professional production (mainly FabFilter plugins) for testing purposes. Sendo had done this on his podcast, the Neigsendoig Cocules Show, for a few episodes, and he said the plugins were really nice to use for his workflow (as apparently, Ardour with FabFilter plugins happened to be oddly satisfying).
I will NOT be releasing this audiobook onto YouTube, as it would be ToS banned due to extremely heavy topics that would just make the YouTube AI have an aneurysm. Instead, I will be hosting it on Wavlake once I get an account, and it will be as a podcast format. I will have individual chapters I read, plus the full book (hopefully), for those who want either or. It's the biggest project I've ever worked on, and even Sendo agrees with me to quite an extent to begin with.
I won't be giving you the details of what the book is about, but I will say I wrote a fantasy novel that will probably resonate with a lot of those of a specific audience.
That's all I have for now, though.

Question for those who are following along for #FediJournJan - have you been seeing the #FediWriMo community posts here?
I looked yesterday, and didn't see any of the posts I've made over the past few days, so I was wondering if anyone else is following from a Mastodon / Goto Social / etc. instance and has been seeing the posts.

TLDR: The FediWriMo Community is holding a Journaling January event. The event will run the whole month of January. More details below and on the FediWriMo PieFed Community: https://feddit.online/c/nanowrimo2
As we get closer to the start of Journaling January here’s the information you need:
I’ve added a document to the wiki on How To Set Up TrackBear: https://feddit.online/community/nanowrimo2/wiki/TrackBearSetUp for this (or any other FediWriMo) event.
To complete your setup, you will need the leaderboard Join code:

I’ve also added a rather lengthy document regarding Journaling that I hope will answer questions for folks that have not journaled before. Of course, it may also cause mass confusion… But, always take the most simple answer. Here’s the document:

With the conclusion of the first #FediWriMo (Fediverse Writing Month) competition, I proposed a next competition: Journaling January (#FediJoJan). Here is the rough idea for the competition:
Make daily entries in a journal for the month of January. The recommended minimum length for each entry is 3 pages (you determine what a page is if your software doesn't normally paginate your text). Record your daily progress using TrackBear (I will set up a leader board before the competition starts, and post the link for it).
The idea behind this competition isn't so much about writing in quantity. Instead, it is about getting into the habit of writing daily. The leader board is mostly there to serve the purpose of inspiring participants to write on a daily basis.
Throughout the month of January, I will post updates on the competition, including optional #writing #prompts and leaderboard statuses.
If this kind of activity sounds interesting to you, please check out the post here: https://feddit.online/c/nanowrimo2/p/1244581/journaling-january-competition
You can also sign up for the [email protected] group from any Lemmy, Mbin or PieFed instance.
If you are interested, letting me know by responding to the above post would be greatly appreciated.
Oops yeah, forgot to post here.
I updated my #NaNoWriMo / #writingmonth stats data file to include this year's progress.
#Writingmonth day 27, 50242 words (+1769)
I think I'll call it done for now! This is an unprecedentedly messy manuscript, probably my messiest yet. But it'll get better.
