I made… *checks notes* 22 pieces of music in 2024!

Of these, there are:

- 2 original songs
- 1 cover from scratch
- 4 vocal covers
- 1 bass cover
- 11 instrumental demos of no significant value
- 3 covers synthesized with a computer voice

"Diag", original song, written for #fedivision2024 . Won two votes, but. BUT. @herr_irrtum had a fucking radio program and (figuratively or literally) blasted my music from the Berlin Fernsehturm.

"A Flat Tire Is Nothing To Worry About", original song, written after a night putting up with my drunk dad.

"At The Risk Of Feeling Dumb", cover from scratch. Might have overproduced it.

"I Recorded These Songs Instead Of Going To A Therapist" and "I Recorded These Songs After Two Therapy Sessions", 5 covers in total. Fun.

"Demos (Winter 2024)", collection of 8 demos. Personal favorite tracks are "My Nylon Lung", "Dead Printer" and "Haskell 2".

"Minejam", 3 demos. Horrible. Don't listen to it.

"OK Computer but sung by a Computer", vocals synthesized with Festival Speech Synthesis System, invented 1997.

I was still a bit of a fledgling musician when @radiofreefedi came along. I’d been away from making music for 25 years and I’d just started re-recording my non-awful teenager songs. RFF was nonetheless happy to include them in the playlist.

Last year the songwriting muse returned and RFF was a willing guinea pig, er, hamster, and gracefully included it as a station exclusive. It was a welcome confidence boost.

RFF helped to make the #Fedivision2024 event an unforgettable party, popping up an entire radio channel playing the four hours of entries over and over and

Back in August this year there was an amazing series of livestreamed performances by Fedi artists and I thought I’d give it a try. I’d never done anything like this before. I did _two in one day_, and thanks to somebody’s comment in the chat, you’re now getting the Christmas song you wanted, to be released this November on RFF.

RFF’s hamster tirelessly helped me with the production of this Christmas song, patiently helping me to understand the loudness wars I’d never participated in.

So many other little things too, I cannot count them.

#ThanksRFF, you’ve been a shining beacon for me and I’ll always remember you fondly.

This is one of my favoutire things I've ever written. I love italian #Giallo films, so I wrote my own twisted sordid murder mystery story as a sort of bouncy, #folk rock pop song! Although there's a bit of #garage type crunch in the chorus!
(also unlike it's inspiration, it takes place entirely from the killer's perspective. I hope any Giallo purists can forgive me!)

Fun fact, I actually recorded it for #fedivision2024 earlier this year!
