QuasitI haven't given up on FediDate, but there hasn't been any followup from anyone else out there - and I don't have the skills or resources to make it happen by myself. That's understandable, with the world basically falling apart at this point.
But I think a lot of people would be happier if they had someone to love and stand with while all this is going on. So I think FediDate's time will come.
I'm not sure if I should be replying to my original post, or do a new one; maybe I'll do both this one time, just in case. I hope that's okay.
@sashin kindly suggested that "FediDate" would be a more apt name for a Fediverse dating service, and I agree. "FediMeet" is still a good name for either A) the current practice of people in the Fediverse meeting in real life, or possibly B) a Fediverse-based app to facilitate those meetings.
For now, I'll use both hashtags as well as "dating". Please follow FediDate as well as FediMeet if you're interested!
