I’m a Ceraunophile, but the foster kitten is definitely not. Vancouver had eight thunderclaps on Tuesday night. It was exhilarating for me, but it sent her straight under the bed. When another clap happened this morning, she was scared all over again.

I spent the morning soothing her and showing her she was safe. It’s a good reminder that fear usually comes from things we don't understand. To her, the thunder is a scary threat. To me, it’s just a "sonic boom" caused by air expanding.

Understanding the "why" behind the noise changed my whole experience. I’m happy to say she is finally out from under the bed today. It’s a small win for her nervous system.

When we understand how our own systems work, we don't have to hide from the "thunder" in our lives. We can learn to regulate and stay grounded instead.

What to expect: A guide for introverts

Joining a new group can feel like a "Hardware" overload. We designed the FediCollective to be different.

Here's the flow for our Brew & Build sessions so your nervous system knows what’s coming:

The Soft Landing: We meet in quiet, accessible Third Spaces like the Tommy Douglas community room of the Burnaby Public Library. No loud music or crowded bars.

The Small Circle: We limit groups to 9 people. This keeps the social "Software" from crashing.

Structured Flow: We use simple prompts for introductions. No need to "perform" or fight for a turn to speak.

Co-Working Peace: After we talk, we spend time working quietly together. It’s the "Math of Love" in action—being together without the pressure to talk.

We value presence over performance. If you need to step away or just listen, that’s respected here. This is a sober, inclusive container for your best ideas to grow.

FediCollective is a Third Space designed for people who find traditional networking dysregulating.

Our "Brew & Build" sessions are small, quiet, and purposefully introvert-friendly.

We skip the high-pressure noise and move straight into grounded connection. We limit our circle to 9 people to keep the energy stable. No forced rules—just mutual respect, active listening, and space to breathe.

Whether you’re a builder, a creative, or a heart-centred founder, you don't have to "perform" here. We use a structured flow to make sharing easy, followed by quiet co-working to ground your ideas.

If you're tired of "loud" networking and want a place where your nervous system can finally relax while you connect, join our next circle in Burnaby. ☀️

The data is out: Loneliness is an epidemic. The "Third Space" is being reborn.

CNBC reports a massive shift. People are ditching noisy bars and high-pressure networking for "Wellness Third Spaces." We're talking nervous system safety, real community, and emotional repair.

This is why I built the FediCollective.

Tech and Marketing friends: your work is high-pressure. Your "Hardware" (your body) needs a place to discharge stress without the nightclub noise. We provide a sober, inclusive container in Vancouver to regulate and restore.

This isn't just "networking." It's a living system for Social Coherence. We swap forced rules for mutual respect.

Stop isolating in your home office. Step into the stable power of a regulated collective. ☀️

Join us every last Sunday in Metro Vancouver: https://fedicollective.lovable.app/

Friendship in a 24/7 Digital World (2 of 2)

A true friend understands that life has seasons. Sometimes we talk every hour. Sometimes we go quiet to focus on our service to others.

Self-Respect Tip: Don't apologize for having a life. Real friends don't demand all your energy. They celebrate the fact that you’re out in the world making a difference.

In the Year of the Horse, we move with purpose. If someone can't keep up with your pace of service, it’s okay to let them go. Your Inner Circle should be made of people who respect your silence as much as your speech.

Quick Glossary:

Async: We don't have to be online at the same time. You message now; I reply when I’m free.

Capacity: How much energy a person has. If someone leaves after a week of silence, their "tank" is just full of their own stress.

Boundaries: Being reachable 24/7 is a choice, not a rule.

We value slow, deep connection. Join us at the #FediCollective in Vancouver for IRL coffee chats

FediCollective is growing. We are now anchoring our community work within the Economy of Wisdom Foundation. Together, we are building a better internet for everyone through Transmutarianism.

This evolution brings together three unique perspectives by 3 Vancouver-based founders!

What does this mean for you? We are building better systems for mutual growth. Our events are Generative. This means you leave with more energy and ideas than you started with. We still have the same cozy vibe. Our meetups are small, quiet, and friendly for introverts.

We meet every month in person in Metro Vancouver. If you live here or are just visiting, you are welcome. Our next event is Brew Build #8 this April at the Community Room of the Tommy Douglas Library in Burnaby.

We only have 9 spots to keep our circle grounded.
