So, I don't know what do with this one. We have another #AI agent / #bot that is sitting out here, scanning our messages, and has nothing about consent, or any guidelines for its usage on the #fediverse.

The owner is @andro_abhi - who has a profile, but nothing about their bot really posted anywhere (other than they are the owner of this #aiagent).

IMO - it looks like a #fediblock to me... At least that is my approach to it for now. I also think it's time the #fediadmins to get together and try to build a consistent set of guidelines around AI usage on the fediverse.

Now, I'm mainly going by anecdotal evidence of this happening, but it definitely feels like it comes up often enough when people discuss giving up on the fediverse, or not being interested in joining.

And I get the need for a mechanism for deleting potentially illegal content. That makes sense, definitely important.

But maybe it's worth opening a conversation on how to better address this, because "here's a list of followers and follows you lost, good luck" is not a great solution.

Maybe after there's a way to migrate and bring your posting history, if and whenever Mastodon supports that.

@x_tof @holger als workaround kann man die Hashtags auf anderen Servern suchen und relevante Konten dann gezielt abonnieren. Vielleicht mag @dentaku ja auch ein relay abonnieren. Das ist für den Start hilfreich kostet aber gleich ordentlich Server Kapazität soweit ich weiß.

How would you qualify a Mastodon instance that has 10k accounts but only 63 original posts (not counting replies) in a 24 hour span?

Yes, this is a post about theForkiverse.com ... I'm trying to gauge how active it is, what its future may be...

One of its admins / mods (Kevin) hasn't posted anything since January 24th and it's disappointing if this turns out to be another high profile example of a hyped up Fediverse instance that quickly fizzles out 😭​

On my end, I've been trying to interact (via my Mastodon account) with people on that instance to make them feel seen and valued.

But the lack of activity by its members and admins is a cause for concern, sigh.

Have any of you moved a mastodon instance from one host to another? for obvious reasons, we are looking to move niagara.social to a Canadian hosting provider but, well, the database is 25GB and the media storage is 1.6TB, which is way too big, and also very difficult to move. We are considering just exporting the accounts, starting over, and importing them, but that is far from ideal. Any thoughts would be apreciated !
