Lychee's Final Goodbye

Today, after 17.5 years, we had to say our final goodbye to Lychee. She was the softest cat we've ever had with the most musical voice.

We're going to miss listening to her chirping at the birds and squirrels outside the front window, and her licking the vents. 😄

But mostly, we'll miss the routines. How she greeted us every morning and was with my wife whenever she was working. How she always came to me when I made my coffee, and how she watched us come home from the deck doors.

She was spicy, and we thought that meant she'd live forever. Unfortunately, her kidneys were failing, she had arthritis, and she had lost a lot of weight. We're devastated by losing her, but we didn't want her to be in any more pain.

We love you Lychee and will never forget you. 💔
