Princess Ozma of Oz

THE MARVELOUS LAND OF OZ, the first sequel to THE WONDERFUL WIZARD OF OZ, tells the story of a boy named Tip who escapes his abusive guardian and goes on an adventure through Oz trying to find a place where he belongs. In the end he learns that he is actually the Princess of Oz in a magical disguise, and the Good Witch Glinda transforms him back.

I didn't know why this was my favorite as a child. I wept when I re-read it as an adult.

Otani Yuri from Alien 9. All she does is cry and she never gets better at anything. It's strange for a protagonist but it also makes her unique.

Had to think about this one, so quick shout out to Ocellus from MLP who I almost went with and Ollie Queen from DC. Going with Ororo Munroe who surprisingly hasn't show up yet, but for all the things I do genuinely love about the character I'm a fan but not a huge one. So this pick is going with the version of Ororo I think is one of her most interesting alts, Amalgam Comics' Amazon.

the other thing he is, besides the Millennial Steve Austin is One Punch Man, since he fights with his hands in his pockets for most of the match & does some amazing things with it, but when he wants to he just breaks out the Superman Punch & wins. I just wish he wasn't held back b/c the wrestling traditionalists hate him so much for "making a mockery" of their "sport". e_e

Also because I really don't think men & women should be gender segregated in PRO WRESTLING of all things, I love that he's had some amazing matches against women on the indie circuit:

I love he's willing to sell to make them look good & even lose (but that is more about the real him than his character)

OK #FavCharacterO for me was so hard to choose, b/c one will never be mentioned, the other is a childhood fav but is quite popular.

So I'm going to say Obi-Wan Kenobi has been my fav char in Star Wars since I was a kid. He's played brilliantly twice. I don't blame him for anything that happens. He tries his best, he's wise, he's powerful, he turns into a ghost. But others have already picked him.

Nobody's going to pick... Orange Cassidy from AEW, or as I call him "The Millennial Steve Austin". Austin was Gen X's "fuck the boss" avatar. Orange's deal is he doesn't really want to do his job but is actually EXTREMELY GOOD AT WRESTLING. He puts in the absolute minimum effort to succeed & I love him. Even his titantron is lazy. He is the wrestling avatar of the Millennial

@ami_angelwings Time travel #FavCharacterAtoZ is tricky for #FavCharacterO in that I had to look up possibilities. (Okabe's a last name, right? So doesn't count.)

Otto Osworth is the best prospect I came up with, from Time Squad. If anyone out there has more to say about him, or better options, let me know.

@ami_angelwings someone's done Odysseus already, so how about Olivia Octavius from Into the Spiderverse

because my desktop isn't far off this

#FavCharacterO is Obi-Wan Kenobi, Jedi master.
Of course there had to be in Star Wars character sooner or later in this #FavCharacterAtoZ

It has been pointed out to me that Oh Dae-su for #FavCharacterO I got his name backwards. So allow me to substitute Optimus Prime. Leader of the Autobots in the Transformers Universe.

Please respect my privacy at this trying time.

@ami_angelwings Okabe Rintaro from Steins;Gate HAS to be my #FavCharacterO

The conceit of a character playing pretend that they're in some grand conspiracy only to actually get thrust into that and have that completely break them down is just really well executed, especially since that divorce between consequence and reality is something that people like okabe are often not really prepared to face, and I think he's a really interesting case study

I also like how devoted he is to giving a place to the people around him, both emotionally and physically. It doesnt have too much attention drawn to it in the show but I think it humanizes him a lot in a way I really love
