@ami_angelwings For E we are coming back to Discworld with Granny (Esmeralda "Esme") Weatherwax. Among the foremost of the leaders the witches of the Ramtops don't have, she is a very powerful witch but she didn't have to be to be my favourite. In keeping with the Discworld theme that magic is best used sparingly Granny often gets her way with a mastery of headology that would make Nate Ford blush, and is in a constant struggle with the temptation to become a 'bad witch'.

A lot of her adventures feature a struggle against the flow of narrative and efforts to force people into shapes that fit a predetermined story (often specific stories that readers from Earth may know well). She also doesn't hold with worshipping gods or demons despite knowing full well that those beings are real as "it only encourages them".

A model of iron will and choosing for oneself who one will be, Granny also often enjoys riding the minds of the various animals of the Kingdom of Lancre—an activity that also plays into her themes as one must take care not to get lost in the animal or else be fit into its shape. During which she often puts out a sign reading "I Aten't Dead" so as not to scare anyone who stumbles upon her apparently lifeless body.

Granny Weatherwax. She's very cool and absolutely terrifying. And I didn't even talk about the coven she is part of or the young witches she mentors over her career.

I think I'm a bit choked up that there won't be any more stories about her or the rest of the Discworld.

@ami_angelwings Ok, ok, let's do a fictional character.
I can, and recently did, recall some verses of Bilbo's song of Eärendil, the "flammifer of Westernesse".
So he got sick of losing and losing and took ship and crew and wife to Valinor, apologized for elvenkind and mankind, got the gods to finally do something (ok, "something" was "wreck Beleriand under the waves", but they also got rid of Morgoth) and for that he now sails the skies with a Silmaril.

#FavCharacterE is another easy one: the mononymously named Emile-A239. The fourth member of Halo Reach's Noble Team, Emile is the team's aggressive, taciturn assault specialist. Armed primarily with a shotgun, Emile is my favorite character in the game by far.

Enough that my Spartans in both versions of Halo Reach and Halo Infinite drew cues from his design.

If you're following along, i like close range, high damage, sturdy characters. Scrappers. Brawlers. Boxers. Fighters. Emile and his power armor and shotgun are all of that. The close quarters specialist in a game full of supersoldiers. He's my favorite parts of Halo in one design.

The shoulder mounted kukri knife, the asymmetrical black and red armor, and the skull carved into his helmet will always be cool to me. It helps that he is also voiced by the actor who played Marlo on The Wire; Emile sounds Black even if he never removes his helmet to confirm it.

The angry, cool, close range specialist Black male Spartan. It's like someone asked me to design a Halo character.

Halo Reach is one of those times when i find media that has a character that feels designed with my tastes in mind with no reservations or qualifiers. He's a hero. He lives like one, he dies like one. No grey morality. Just shooting aliens and saving humanity until you can't anymore.

I wouldn't have poured 400+ hours into Halo Reach without Emile pulling me in and my college friends keeping me there playing online multiplayer.

Among all the characters who die in Reach, Emile's death is the coolest too; impaled from behind by an energy sword, he nevertheless reaches behind him to pull the Elite to the ground and stab him to death before succumbing to his own injury. His last words?

"I'm ready! How 'bout you?"

#FavCharacterE for #FavCharacterAtoZ

E has been tough, but I'm going to say Lt Eve Dallas from the In Death books. She's a Good Cop, tough as nails, and a decent human despite her parents.

#FavCharacterE

Edward Wong Hau Pepelu Tivruski IV from #CowboyBebop series is my favorite #FictionalCharacter. She is a child prodigy skilled in #hacking. Born on Earth. I love her determination to do anything she wants including forcefully getting on the Space Cowboy ship by means of hacking and she becomes a member of the team.

#FavCharacterAtoZ #hacker

for #FavCharacterE I'm going with Elda from Edomae Elf because she os worshipped as a goddess but she is a hikikomori who just wants to quietly live in her shrine doing nerd shit because she is afraid people will make fun of her ears

which is relatable to me

except the ear part

@ami_angelwings

@ami_angelwings It's hard for me to pick one since there are so many characters whose names start with K. I will go with another childhood favorite, Kiara from The Lion King 2. I like her reluctance to be queen. Much better than Simba singing about how he can't wait for his dad to die in the first movie haha.

Also I'd like to change my E character. Before, I said Eeyore because I couldn't think of anyone else. I forgot about my boy Enjyutsu from SD Gundam. He's a silly manchild emperor type. He also has really great voice acting in a show where many other VAs sound bored to death. (In the English dub.)

@ami_angelwings Elim Garak, from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.

DS9's best example of a recurring character fleshed out better than many main characters on other shows. A man arguably forced into finding some decency, and dignity, within himself due to being exiled on a Bajoran/Federation space station. Will lie about anything and everything just for the practice.

(I've set myself a "one character per work" limit, but I'm using up Star Trek so quickly...)

@ami_angelwings My #FavCharacterAtoZ #FavCharacterE is Ea-Nasir. May he long sell crappy copper to the unwary.
