@ami_angelwings I've been so wracked with indecision over this. It's like as soon as the question came up my memory of every story I ever enjoyed got erased from my brain.

For the longest time I could only think of Aragorn, son of Arathorn. But I think that was mostly from being entertained by the antics of Viggo Mortensen acting in the role. I don't otherwise remember a lot of Aragorn aside from the reveal of Strider in the Prancing Pony, and his poem "All that is gold does not glitter". So perhaps if I were to choose him it would be at S for Strider.

So instead I am picking the radiant Aeryn Sun from Farscape. With her human appearance and acting as John Crichton's guide to the strange new universe he finds himself in, it would have been easy for the story to relegate her to 'the love interest', especially as the two do have an overarching romance plot. BUT Aeryn her own character development, her own decisions, sacrifices, and opportunities throughout the series. Indeed, a lot of her story is about becoming her own person, after a lifetime of indoctrination in the Peacekeeper military. I couldn't think of anyone better for A than Aeryn Sun.

Without a doubt it would have to be Alpha Hatsuseno (初瀬野アルファ) , the main character of Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.

Bright, cheerful, optimistic, curious, and friendly. Even her romantic rival (not that she's aware of the fact) can't dislike her once they meet (although she tries).

Ashford of the series.
He is the leader of one of the factions of #OPA. Long time #pirate, very experienced. (This character is very different in the book.)

Camina Drummer of the series. Originally, Chief of Security on Tycho Station. In series this character is merged with the Michio Pa character in the books, the captain of a commune ship. Michio Pa is my favourite character in the books.

#FavCharacterN
Naomi Nagata of the books. She is one of the main characters and engineer of the spaceship Rocinante. Clever and rational. She has a good sense of ethics and not naive like the character in the series.
