Feels that way here, too.

The Enola Gay is idling on the tarmac, sputtering on despite a number of navigational & structural problems. The GOP is fighting over who gets to load the bombs*; & the Dems are arguing over who was supposed to keep the guys in the control tower from signing off on that irrevocable flight clearance. Captain 45 & Copilot Musk are in the cockpit flipping switches at random; & laughing at all the havoc this wreaks among both the GOP's efforts to get the plane off the ground, & the Dems attempts to maintain some shreds of flight & operational safety.

*And these aren't namby-pamby little WWII era bombs like Fat Man & Little Boy, which could only lay waste to one city at a time. These are gargantu-ass multi-gigaton bombs from the height of Cold War in the 1980s. We could call them Destroy-The-Planet Man, & Fuck-It-Sideways Boy.
