with hundreds of thousands of people protesting and numerous governments urging the Kingdom of #Denmark and the #FaroeIsland authorities to halt this practice immediately.

The local Faroese government committed to reviewing the kills of smaller dolphins. Many people living in the Faroe Islands themselves were also concerned about the huge kill and public opinion shows that many people on the Faroe Islands are opposed to the killing of the smaller #dolphin species.

The first #Grindadráp of the summer is set to begin in #Leynasandur , #FaroeIsland.

Once again, hundreds of #dolphins will be killed in the name of tradition. As every year, our crew is there to expose and report on the #slaughter.

These animals are not killed for survival, but for custom—by one of the richest nations on Earth. This has to stop.

📍Saksun, Streymoy Færøerne 🇫🇴

CLOSE TO THE EDGE

The small church located on the outer cliffs of the historic settlement, Saksun.
Moved stone by stone from another settlement, 6 km away. Unfortunately, there was no road, so it had to be moved up the mountain🙈

The contrasts in everything - in life and nature - always right out on the edge.
Nordic silence 😍

While there are Faroese ponies, similar to iceland ponies with the 5th gait, this looks like a Shetland pony because it is smaller. Seen on a hike
