Average runnign speed of a shankeh is around 50 km/h. Their most, mh, interesting? feature is that none has lived past 65 years old, no matter what. They also eat salts. Like, almost only salts.

It's 'garren' (pl.), really. Not #coldblooded, do wear clothes over their crest or #tails, and change colour based on their food. I already wrote diet author characters to guide patterns and colours.

It was honestly one of my harder choices if I should include a scaled people in my setting, they seemed so done to death then, but I am glad I did.

Sudden and interesting #FantasyRace / #FantasySpecies lore from my #DarkFantasy setting...

#Elves, all of whom are afflicted with the Frailty, are constantly worried about disease, but not from #Goblins, because goblins have their own culture of cleanliness and are so different they don't harbor many communicable pathogens. It's #Dwergs they worry about, because aversion to sun and water means poor hygiene and natural resistance makes them asymptomatic carries of human-infecting pathogens.

Had a thought while out on a little walk away from my desk. If an anthro with a substantial snout turned into a dwarf, then maybe the shape of their post transformed beard is affected by the way their muzzle would shape as it became the mustache and facial hair? Also what does snout softening gradually into hair feel like, you think?
