My favourite part of #FantasticFedi is its backbone community: the admins, moderators, Fedi software developers, and all contributors who take part in shaping this part of the web. One can meet all kinds of people here, but I believe the very nature of these networks attracts those who are curious, clever, creative, altruistic. There's a lot of rebellious spirit going around. At first it alienated me a bit, but I learned to cherish it and to learn from it.

My favorite thing about the #fediverse is that it gives YOU total control over what you see and what you don't want to see. It's free speech. No algorithms. If you get banned from an instance, you just go find one that fits you better. I have the right to block certain words or phrases or people.

Also, It's not all that hard to create your own instance on a multitude of different pieces of software. I've created my own #mastodon , my own #pleroma , and now my own #hubzilla instances.

It's all such a no-brainer. Plus, the really cool people who really want the best for the world are here.

I never felt at home on other, mainstream social media, and I never felt like having an account and making friends over there.

However, Fedi is comfy, and I felt confident enough to do it! 💪

#fantasticfedi My favourite thing about the fediverse is getting to communicate with people all over the world. And discuss things with them directly!

Never in my dreams would i have thought it to be possible. I mean technically reddit achieves the same, but all are anonymous there
