Living with my parents as an adult is interesting.

We get along very well and I love them.

I will eternally be grateful for more time with them.

But I am realizing that some patterns I put up with in my marriage definitely come from my family.

My dad gets angry when the world upsets him and it becomes the family’s problem to soothe him.

I repeated the pattern with my ex.

And now I can’t stand it. I’ve always been sensitive to it but now it’s so much worse.
