World Caring Day is an annual invitation to take action and shine a light on family caregivers and the care they provide for a loved one going through a health journey.

We know that feelings of overwhelm, isolation, and loneliness are prevalent among family caregivers. Join us in our efforts to surround them with support and help make a positive impact on emotional health and social support. Share your story using the hashtag #WorldCaringDay #familycaregivers #caregivers

#Documentary feature Wine, #Women, and #Dementia exposes the isolation, financial stress, physical & emotional toll #familycaregivers shoulder for their dementia loved ones & themselves.
So, the weekend of Thanksgiving, Fri 11/24, Sat 11/25, & Sun 11/26, the cast will offer a complimentary screening to the #film Wine, Women, & Dementia.
Please share this screening opportunity with your #caregiver connections.

One of the things that has hurt my research the most during the pandemic is not being able to really connect with community partners. Not only my favorite thing to do but it's critical to #Community engaged #research. Had fantastic chats with folks running amazing programs for #FamilyCaregivers in #Detroit. Can't wait to build new stuff together.

#Lunch with #Dad 😊
I share caregiving duties for Dad, with my Mom. We will be getting some financial relief with respite community support workers fees, starting in January. That's going to help me not stress out over household finances as much. I currently pay $400-$500/month for respite help to come help 2 days a week for 2-3 hrs each shift.

I manage all medical & financial matters for my parents. Dad's brain injured & Mom's illiterate.
