Tried to clean up and straighten up this photo of the West Falls Church Metro station redevelopment plan (which may be online somewhere, but if so I haven't seen it).

This is one of the last Metro stations in Virginia that hasn't been redeveloped with lots of multi-use 3- and 4-storey buildings around it, and one of the most affordable Metro-adjacent neighborhoods left in Virginia.

Most of what's being redeveloped seems to be the large, space-wasting surface parking lots, but it's too bad they can't keep some of the mature trees through to the end state. 😕

One of the things I enjoy as a parent is to go “playground hunting” with the kids. We hop in the car and try to find new playgrounds nearby. This time around, we stopped at #FallsChurch Big Chimney Park. It wasn’t our first time, though. We found it a while back and continue to visit it; the community takes good care of it! It also has some sweet rides, including a “manual merry-go-round.” You always end up in sweat, but it’s worth it. Just take a look at the enjoyment!
