Receding Autumn
The penultimate week of November, autumn was clearly on its way out, although there were still some trees and branches that showed some beautiful fall colours. This spot stood out to me, when I visited the always beautiful Speulderbos in the Veluwe National Park. The reddish carpet of fallen leaves on the forest floor, the different shades of orange, yellow and green leaves in the background, plus the bright green moss on the trees in the foreground, made that I really wanted to photograph this scene. Even though I had really hoped there would have been some fog that morning, it was beautiful either way.
