Is it only me or am I seeing the start of more fake accounts on Mastodon? Usual culprits, military, no real bio etc and they send private messages. (I do report them).

I have noticed an increase lately in suspicious followers. I’m notified about a new follower, and by the time I check, the account has already been suspended. Or, the account hasn’t been suspended yet, but looks suspicious; for example, the account uses a salacious banner or profile image and has no followers or posts. I suppose it’s inevitable that scammers will invade Mastodon; I hope the countermeasures like blocking and reporting will help. Be careful everyone!
