I’m going to see Ye, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, in concert this weekend and have to shift into travel mode. There’s a lot of faith in being a Ye fan. The first concert I got tickets to was for a music festival in Italy which was later cancelled and was an annoying hit. Airlines are a monopoly with predatory practices. The show this weekend is in Tampa, but I still have to hope he even preforms. His latest Bully was releasing “next month” for about six months and of course a lot happened in that time with new music being released. With an artist, we never know what they’ll do next and that’s part of the point. They are the trailblazers, which means they go in front and people follow. A lot of people want to lead, but are afraid to go out on their own. There is also the element of faith with Ye being on stage that he will likely wear a mask. The question is how to know if it’s really him without “seeing” him. To me it doesn’t matter because as Ye has said, “it’s good music.” The point is not seeing a person, rather the performance which is an audio/visual compilation. Buying a ticket to Ye is hoping for an experience with the quality expected by the name. Could I pass putting his music to the Pepsi Challenge? Maybe, I’ve noticed beats on the radio he’s produced that didn’t have his vocals. There is a fullness to his music, most others lack. I’d also call him unique though most people couldn’t recognize what’s going on. Once outside of the box, people call it crazy.

The Kintsugi Man

A Story Told In Tanka Form

Once I was broken,
a man of many pieces,
cracked beyond repair,
so many tiny places
scattered like leaves in the wind.

Healing was a dream.
Restoration was elusive.
Much of me was lost.
I could not find the missing,
my eyes dry from the seeking.

Then mercy found me.
The Great Artist touched my heart,
gathered me to me,
glued the pieces one by one
until I was whole again.

Why do the cracks show?
My question rose to the sky.
The scars are ugly.
Must they remain forever?
I wondered if I was healed.

Wait, you gently said.
Dipping your finger in gold,
your love traced the scars -
beauty in my brokenness.
The cracks let the soul's light out. #AndrogynousFigure #BeautyFromAshes #BeautyInBrokenness #Brokenness #ChristianReflection #ContemporaryPoetry #CyberpunkSpirituality #DigitalArt #divineMercy #Faith #FaithAndArt #FreeVersePoetry #FutureHumanity #futuristicArt #GodSGrace #GodSLove #GoldenCracks #Grace #Healing #Hope #HumanAndMachine #InspirationalPoetry #Kintsugi #KintsugiSoul #lightAndShadow #Mercy #newCreation #Redemption #restoration #resurrection #SacredScars #SacredTechnology #ScarsAndHealing #ScienceFictionArt #SoulLight #spiritualFormation #spiritualGrowth #SpiritualPoetry #Symbolism #TheGreatArtist #TheReluctantCyborg #Transformation #visualPoetry #wholeness #woundedHealer

Maundy Thursday Shadow Sketches

As part of a Service of Shadows for Maundy Thursday April 2, 2026, these sketches were drawn as each “shadow” of Christ’s final hours were read. I had a general idea before hand but for the most part each came together more or less spontaneously during the reading. I used a large flip chart in front of the congregation. As each candle was blown out, I flipped to a new page and once the reading began, started a new sketch. We then created a kind of gallery of the finished shadow sketches in the church.

🌿 ⛪️Sameiro Sanctuary, Braga, Portugal
Where Heaven Meets the Earth ⛪️🌿

Rising above the hills of Braga, the Sanctuary of Sameiro is more than stone and faith. It is a silent hymn ascending to infinity.
Since the 19th century, this sacred place has welcomed pilgrims, prayers, and the quiet steps of those seeking peace in the heights.

Its stairways, flanked by statues and sculpted mysteries, form a rosary of art and devotion. Each panel, each chapel, tells the story of the faith that shaped Portugal a deep love for the Virgin Mary, Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception.

From the top of Sameiro, the gaze drifts between clouds and mountains, embracing the city of Braga and the horizon that seems to touch the divine.
Inside the temple, light filters through the colorful stained glass, and silence invites contemplation where time stands still and the heart finds rest.

Here, the sacred does not impose itself: it blossoms. 🌸

How Not to Blaspheme: Deicide’s “Once Upon the Cross”
