Green Party NIThe plan to make landlords potentially pay National Insurance on rental income is long overdue. While it’s right that landlords contribute their fair share, average rents in Northern Ireland have soared by 45% in the past decade. This extra cost must not be passed onto tenants who are already struggling to keep a roof over their heads. Tax fairness cannot come at the expense of affordable homes.
