#Missouri has a #QuizBowl national champion for the first time since 2014! #FairGrove overwhelmed competition from Kentucky, Illinois and Connecticut in their last five matches to win the #NAQT Small School National Championship Tournament (#SSNCT) Public School Division.

Their only loss came to another Missouri school, Houston… the same Houston they 'll have to play this weekend in Columbia at the #MSHSAA Class Four State Tournament.

A pair of #Ozark counties are celebrating multiple #QuizBowl teams going to state. Hickory County's #Skyline and #Weaubleau achieved their first-ever berth to the state tournament, while Greene County's #Kickapoo and #FairGrove are making return trips.

And in South Central #Missouri, last year's winners #Houston and #StElizabeth move onto the quarterfinals, with Houston visiting #ArcadiaValley in Class Four and St Elizabeth awaiting #NorthShelby, the team they beat to win state last year in Class One.

Houston's title last year was in Class Three. The defending Class Four winners, #CollegeHeights Christian of #Joplin, fell in the district finals to #FairGrove, snapping a streak of 13 straight district titles. #QuizBowl
