THE FACTS:
In 2024, the last year of the Biden presidency, American gross domestic product grew 2.8%, adjusted for inflation, faster than any wealthy country in the world except Spain. It also expanded at a healthy rate from 2021 through 2023. “
President Donald Trump claims his tariffs have revived the U.S. economy, calling it an “American economic miracle.” The Republican argues that tariffs have boosted growth and reduced inflation. However, the facts tell a different story. The U.S. economy was already growing before Trump's second term. During the first three quarters of the year, Trump’s tariffs — or the threat of them — delivered mixed results for the American economy. Inflation figures are skewed by data disruptions, and tariffs have actually increased core goods prices. Trump also claims foreign producers bear most tariff costs, but studies show U.S. consumers and firms are affected.

THE FACTS: This is false. The endangerment finding was adopted in 2009 by the EPA after the U.S. Supreme Court ruled in 2007 that greenhouse gases are air pollutants that can be regulated under the Clean Air Act.

A Jan. 29 program showed non-existent cover stories from Le Parisien and Liberation criticizing Zelensky for his “inability to negotiate”.
On Jan. 29, the “Vremya Pokazhet” talk show on Russia’s Kremlin-controlled Channel One (Perviy Kanal) presented “proof” of what the program’s host said was criticism directed against Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky by the French press. The covers of two French newspapers — Libération and Le Parisien, both showing the date Jan. 27 — were presented on screen to corroborate his allegations. However, it later emerged that the front pages displayed on Russian television were fabrications created and spread by the “Matryoshka” bot network, according to analysis conducted by the Bot Blocker project.

In an extraordinary #court filing, the top #federal #prosecutor in #Minnesota acknowledged Thursday that officials had “provided incorrect information” [lied] about a #shooting by an #immigration agent last month.
The prosecutor, Daniel N. Rosen, asked a judge to #dismiss charges against a man who was wounded in that shooting, as well as another man who had been accused of attacking the agent.
