Big #study out Mar 4th, w/ 375K+ #Covid #cases tracked - they call it "post-COVID-19 syndrome" a.k.a. Long-COVID. Women continue to get it more than men: females= 56.8%; males= 43.8%.
Among #LongCOVID #symptoms, they break down as: Pulmonary 22.4%, neurological 14.6%, fatigue 13.5%, digestion 12.5%, fever 11.5%, and although #cognitive (#BrainFog) was only 3.7%, it showed the greatest persistence.

Zhang et al. utilized a large real-world dataset from more than three million adults in the United States to compare the incident of kidney disease risks following COVID-19 and influenza infections. The study found that COVID-19 is associated with a higher risk of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and end stage renal disease than influenza.

This woman on the #subway was doing her best to be helpful. I'd taken off my K(N)-95-style #respirator & #FaceShield, to mop down the sweat. After reconstructing, she tapped my elbow and said I shouldn't have put that mask back on, it fell to the floor (5 second rule). She offered me another #mask (more later). I said I'm not worried about stuff I get from the floor, I'm worried about #airborne stuff like #BirdFlu and #measles. She shook her head, wearing a useless "surgical style" mask. #NYC
