It took fifteen (15) minutes for me to get a solo elevator to the top of seven (7) world trade #today. Twelve (12) elevators, not even close to my record, 23 to go up solo and 8 to go down.
Was just in time for my meeting.

Big #study out Mar 4th, w/ 375K+ #Covid #cases tracked - they call it "post-COVID-19 syndrome" a.k.a. Long-COVID. Women continue to get it more than men: females= 56.8%; males= 43.8%.
Among #LongCOVID #symptoms, they break down as: Pulmonary 22.4%, neurological 14.6%, fatigue 13.5%, digestion 12.5%, fever 11.5%, and although #cognitive (#BrainFog) was only 3.7%, it showed the greatest persistence.

Zhang et al. utilized a large real-world dataset from more than three million adults in the United States to compare the incident of kidney disease risks following COVID-19 and influenza infections. The study found that COVID-19 is associated with a higher risk of acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, and end stage renal disease than influenza.

This woman on the #subway was doing her best to be helpful. I'd taken off my K(N)-95-style #respirator & #FaceShield, to mop down the sweat. After reconstructing, she tapped my elbow and said I shouldn't have put that mask back on, it fell to the floor (5 second rule). She offered me another #mask (more later). I said I'm not worried about stuff I get from the floor, I'm worried about #airborne stuff like #BirdFlu and #measles. She shook her head, wearing a useless "surgical style" mask. #NYC

Besides the flu, bird flu, COVID, and RSV, we are seeing a surge in the winter stomach bug. Unlike the former airborne stuff, the norovirus is spread more by touch so hand washing is back in style!

I'm going to keep wearing my #mask & #faceshield, because kids breathe and sneeze on me, and having only one (really horrible) URI in three years is some thing that is much better than having one every three months when I have an underlying condition

Only thing I would suggest you do is swap the cloth mask for an #N95 or possibly even a #P100 but other than that, smart thinking. I was at the supermarket. After about 5 minutes walking around I was... *gasp!* I don't have my #faceshield! I left it in the car!! 😳 (Normally the security guard at the door would point it out and ask people to wear face shields.)

I looked around and noticed a good number of people also did not have #faceshields on.

Then I remembered. The authorities did* talk about relaxing restrictions. Our #covid19 numbers have been going down. Plus, some cities have reached #vaccination goals. 😃👍
