Paws to TrailA couple of interesting tales in the snow on today's hike:
While there were plenty of rabbit/hare tracks in the snow, these look more like pine martin. Sadly, the snow was too fluffy to leave good details of the paw pad shapes!
And under an alder plant, a fabulous buffet for one lucky mouse! The alder cones had dropped their seeds on the snow, and in and around this manna from heaven a single track wove a maze.
