An open letter to Sundar Pichai, CEO of #Google about their announced policy requiring all #Android app developers to register centrally with G. themselves in order to distribute applications outside of the Google Play Store.

As written it should be in Google 's self interest not to require that: "The strength of Android... has historically been its openness, and Google must work towards restoring its role as a faithful steward of that trust."
