As to long paragraphs, there's nothing wrong with a micro-stream of consiousness in a micro-post, especially when as elegantly written as yours! But if you want to fight your inner three-sentence demons, do visit David Allen Green, the truest of true stylist among bloggers and micro-bloggers.

Green will compose posts mostly made up of one-sentence paragraphs.

Short sentences at that.

He has a journalism background, which helps to overcome the Proustian tendencies that we all have.

And that last sentence by F Scott Fitzgerald: it makes for a fine single-sentence para in a toot. In fact I have tooted this very sentence as such. Twice, in fact, once in earnest, once in jest (with four months between them):
