Il Tempo: Iran, telefonata fra Trump e Putin: "Colloquio franco e costruttivo"
Nel mezzo del conflitto in Medio Oriente, che continua ad allargarsi provocando una escalation, il presidente Usa Donald Trump e quello russo Vladimir Putin hanno tenuto una telefonata di un'ora sulla situazione internazionale a partire dalla questione Iran. A dichiararlo è stato il consigliere del Cremlino, Yuri Ushakov, che ha definito il colloquio "franco e costruttivo".
Poche ore fa, lo Zar si era congratulato con la nuova Guida Suprema iraniana, Mojtaba Khamenei, ribadendo che la Russia "è un partner affidabile di Teheran". Il Cremlino aveva poi aggiunto: "Sono certo che lei continuerà con onore l'opera di suo padre e unirà il popolo iraniano di fronte a dure prove", si legge nel telegramma inviato da Putin a Mojtaba Khamenei. "Ora che l'Iran si trova ad affrontare un'aggressione armata, le sue attività in questa posizione elevata richiederanno senza dubbio grande coraggio e dedizione", aggiunge il leader russo. "Da parte mia - sottolinea poi Putin - vorrei confermare il nostro continuo sostegno a Teheran e la solidarietà con i nostri amici iraniani. La Russia è stata e rimarrà un partner affidabile della Repubblica islamica".

Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, which continues to escalate and expand, U.S. President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin held an hour-long phone call regarding the international situation, starting with the issue of Iran. This was announced by Kremlin advisor Yuri Ushakov, who described the meeting as “frank and constructive.”
Just a few hours ago, the Tsar congratulated the new Supreme Leader of Iran, Mojtaba Khamenei, reiterating that Russia “is a reliable partner of Tehran.” The Kremlin then added: “I am sure that you will continue his work with honor and you will unite the Iranian people before difficult trials,” according to the telegram sent by Putin to Mojtaba Khamenei. “Now that Iran is facing an armed aggression, your activities in this high position will undoubtedly require great courage and dedication,” the Russian leader adds. “On my part – Putin emphasizes – I would like to confirm our continued support for Tehran and our solidarity with our Iranian friends. Russia has been and will remain a reliable partner of the Islamic Republic.”
