Every day there is enjoyment, but also some reminder of his illness.

For example, as I rub his feet, I notice his toenails are yellow. I'm reluctant to search online for what it means.

Yesterday the skin on his forearms was nicely healing. This afternoon the skies were sunny. Tonight I see angry red blotches on his arms.

We are in a lovely part of England, surrounded by wildflowers with names I don't know. And from Friday he gets a week off meds.

Wonderful.
