Does anyone know what's going on with the privacy agreement with floorp? looks like they've gone to the dark side.

#Floorp

@cynical13 @rolandixor

OK, I've checked that #Floorp is sticking to opt-in AI, something that you can go and enable if you want. Better route than #Firefox.

Since I don't need these things and I like more minimalist aspects, #ZenBrowser is already filling my needs.

#Midori」なんてあるのね。調べたら『Firefox派生ブラウザの #Floorp をベースに開発され』たものらしい。

#Wavebox は Sidekick っぽいブラウザで、Chromium っぽい。 →https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/xp9k277sj760hl?hl=ja-JP&gl=JP

#BrowserWorks は「#Waterfox」の開発元(Firefox で言えば Mozilla )なのかな?

I thought I would check the 'missing image' icon in different browsers and launched FloorP as one of the browsers in my collection.

And then, what the fuck, FloorP?
NO I DO NOT!

Featured image [https://lemmy.zip/api/v3/image_proxy?url=https%3A%2F%2Fblog.floorp.app%2Feyecatch%2FRelease_Stable.webp] Floorp v12.10.4 Release Notes ============================= Release notes tell you what’s new in Floorp. Your feedback The Floorp Projects welcomes. You can submit bug report and new feature code on GitHub, and check the Floorp of source code used for this release. We would like to express our special thanks to all the developers, users, and contributors who contributed to this release. 🔄 Changes https://blog.floorp.app/en/release/12.10.4/#%F0%9F%94%84-changes ---------------------------------------------------------------------- - Security fixes ⚠️ Bug Fixes https://blog.floorp.app/en/release/12.10.4/#%E2%9A%A0%EF%B8%8F-bug-fixes -------------------------------------------------------------------------- - Fixed an issue where Floorp’s mouse gesture feature was unintentionally rolled back to a previous commit, causing some actions to not work correctly

@thelinuxcast I forgot about the 2015 #iMac 5K I was gifted. It currently has a Skylake chip and 24 gigs of ram. Currently it is running #Debian13 with #Gnome on an external SSD.

So far it has been chuggin' along fine. It does well with #Floorp and #Youtube.

Currently listening to the @thelinuxcast episode on old tech.

So far the oldest devices that I am still using are both #Macbooks.

The newer of the macbooks is a 2013/14 Macbook Pro running #OpenSUSE #Slowroll has 8 gigs RAM and a Haswell chip. Current DE is #Gnome and #Floorp is my main browser. It's running like a champ. The only things that slow it down have been Gnome Software and Package ID.

The older Macbook Pro (2011) is currently running Snow Leopard with 16 gigs of RAM and Sandy Bridge chip. #PowerFox has been my go to web browser. Web browsing has been pretty decent. I notice some slowdown when loading sites with lots of adds and pictures.

Outside of some Broadcom issues, old Macboks hold up pretty well.

#Floorp keeps subtly breaking things.
Nexus Mod download handlers have stopped working.
I *think* it's something to do with the working path but it's too much of a faff when I can use another browser.

Last time it was changing how the custom search string was composed.
