Watching a documentary on the FLDS church this afternoon while I enjoy my wine.

Shit like this is why I'm not a huge believer in the concept of free will.

In the FLDS are the women's dresses color coded? I see some wearing red, others blue or green. Is it like Star Trek uniforms? If Emma is in red she works engineering or security? And if Abigail is in blue she works science or medical?

Will be heading into a measles hotspot (yes Utah, looking at you) in a month or so and asked an Australian expert what my vaccination situation is likely to be.

She informed me that Australians born before 1966 are generally not vaccinated against measles.

The assumption for people born before 1966 is that given how contagious measles is, it's almost impossible that they haven't already been infected during childhood and therefore have antibodies.

(In my neck of the Australian woods the measles vaccine became widely available starting in 1969.)
