Will be heading into a measles hotspot (yes Utah, looking at you) in a month or so and asked an Australian expert what my vaccination situation is likely to be.
She informed me that Australians born before 1966 are generally not vaccinated against measles.
The assumption for people born before 1966 is that given how contagious measles is, it's almost impossible that they haven't already been infected during childhood and therefore have antibodies.
(In my neck of the Australian woods the measles vaccine became widely available starting in 1969.)
