Speaking of alternative systems for palladium games, my first thought for a fun TMNT one shot would be Feng Shui. Are there any other interesting martial arts action rpgs that might be cool?

In an effort to stay sane I’ve gone back to very old episodes of Ken and Robin Talk About Stuff (KARTAS), and found an answer to something that’s been bugging me a long time. _Feng Shui_ 1e is probably my 3rd favorite game (behind V&V and all the D&D iterations that lump together in my head) but I was deeply disappointed in Feng Shui 2E, mostly because it opted do 36 fixed templates with preset experience trees rather than any variability in character creation.

Earlier this morning, before the scare I had with my father (who is fine) I wanted to ask about the #FENGShuiRpg.
My only experience was reading the #Rulebook by brother got over 20 years ago.
It was basically about #roleplaying as "a #HongKong #ActionMovie #character."
Has anyone here played it? Or even heard of it?
I know I should have asked this back on #Twitter, but when I was on twitter (before the #muskrat ruined everything) I was obsessing over the #VampireRpg.
Does anyone have any favorite contemporary songs to put on as soundtrack for action scenes in contemporary games? The sort of needle drop that would match great with a slick fight in a movie?

@Johnnylemuria as a strange question, does Pathfinder 2e have a race option for playing an animal who has transformed into a human (elf/dwarf/halfling)?
If you’ve ever played #FengShuiRPG you’ll understand the question….
Getting to Know Me, TTRPG edition.
9: Favorite TTRPG for its writing: for years I would go back to #FengShuiRPG 1E just to read it for fun. Robin Laws has such an energetic, “I want to tell you something REALLY COOL” voice through that one, and he’s detailing such an exuberant world base on equally exuberant cinema.

Yeah, I use Roll20 for mine as their #13thAge character sheet is top notch, but it's almost all "here are photo references for where you are/major NPCs" and theater of the mind.
The kids still prefer a battle map for major fights, so I'll yoink things off #ElvenTower (lots of cool stuff for patrons), but I prefer it when I can just wing it.
If you haven't run it, #FengShuiRPG is a great system for teaching yourself high octane Theater of the Mind fights. The skills carry over.
2: Favorite TTRPG game world: Oof, this is hard because I’m not much for published game worlds. That being said, I love the Feng Shui 1E design of intricately tying the world/factions and gameplay and leaving that introduction static in the supplements so everyone’s game world advances independently.
