❄️ Winter Data Wonder #6

NOMAD now hosts nearly 20 million materials science entries from researchers worldwide — spanning systems from proteins in solution to wastewater pollutants. A strong example of how FAIR, open data enables cross-disciplinary, data-driven research.

Introduction to NOMAD - A PSDI Webinar

In materials science, data-centric research requires advanced data management strategies. The NOMAD ecosystem, developed by the NFDI consortium FAIRmat, includes NOMAD, NOMAD Oasis, and NOMAD CAMELS, applying FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) to enhance research data management (RDM). These platforms support file sharing, automated data extraction, and customizable electronic lab notebooks. Deployed in a federated infrastructure, they enable data interoperability and collaborative research. This presentation gives an introduction to the NOMAD ecosystem and provides resources for getting started with NOMAD. This work is funded by the NFDI consortium FAIRmat - Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) - Project 460197019

Webinar: Introduction to NOMAD - Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure

This webinar will showcase NOMAD’s applications in material synthesis, characterization, simulations, and AI-driven research, with a focus on solar cells, heterogeneous catalysis, and metal-organic frameworks.

Physical Sciences Data Infrastructure
Day 2 of the #EOSCsymposium kicks off with an inspiring keynote from Claudia Draxl, the speaker of the #NFDI consortium #FAIRMat. She draws an analogy between recycling ♻️. and enhancing research data management💾 , envisioning a transformative future for science 🔬 if we make all data FAIR. 💡 Claudia highlights the success of NOMAD (https://nomad-lab.eu/) and its significant impact on condensed-matter physics as an example for this. #EOSC #FAIR #NFDIrocks
