Was talking about the as-yet-to-be-encoded Gomgwejui'gasit script (Miꞌkmaw #hieroglyphics) in this afternoon’s #Ezhishin workshop, so thought I would share these two images here. Miꞌkmaw First Nation territories covered much of the Canadian Atlantic provinces. The script is an example of a writing system that evolved out of indigenous practice within the context of missionary engagement.

I'm really enjoying the #Ezhishin conference. It has such a different feel than most type conferences, and has so many thoughtful presentations. I definitely recommend watching recordings if you have the chance!
